Trash Volume in S. Jakarta Decreased

During January-March 2017 period, trash volume in South Jakarta reached 128,012.59 tons.
Besides, recently there are many trash banks in RW
That number is decreased compared to same period in last year which reached 128,380.45 tons.
South Jakarta Environment Sub-dept. Head, Syarifudin, said this trash volume reduction proves the citizen awareness about environment cleanliness is getting high.
1,000 RWs Targeted to Have Trash Bank This Year"Besides, recently there are many trash banks in RW," he said, Thursday (3/30).
He explained that all this time, trash volume in South Jakarta is not only from household, but also dominated by newcomers who work in the area.
"They who come from outside of South Jakarta who work in here ate using eating utensils that made from disposable plastic," he explained.
Related to that condition, he urges citizen either inside or outside South Jakarta to always keep the environment clean with not throw trash carelessly.
"As much as possible decreasing disposable plastic utilization," he closed.
